According to Mark Gurman in his latest Power On newsletter, Apple has canceled the new Mac Pro with the high-end "M2 Extreme" chip, which had 48 CPU cores and 152 GPU cores. The new Mac Pro with the M2 Ultra will continue to launch as normal.
According to previous reports, Apple's M2 Extreme chip will be composed of two M2 Ultra, and the industry pointed out that Apple's M2 Pro/Max/Extreme series processors are all mass-produced using TSMC's 3nm process.
The Apple Mac Pro is one of the last Intel-based Mac models still on sale, and is the only Mac product line that does not feature Apple's Silicon chip option. Earlier this year, Apple briefly previewed the upcoming release of the Apple Silicon Mac Pro at its "High Power Arrival" event.

The company's M2 Pro/Max/Extreme series processors are all mass-produced using TSMC's 3nm process, and if the M2 Extreme news is true, Apple's PC processor performance will catch up with Intel's next year and become the dominant processor in the Arm architecture market. The dominant player in the Arm architecture processor market.
Although much more than most people need, it's worth pointing out that 192 GB of RAM will still be significantly less than the 1.5 TB of RAM supported by the current generation 2019 Mac Pro. It's unclear how the 76-core GPUs will stack up, as the current Mac Pro can theoretically be configured with four built-in graphics cards.
Apple initially announced that the Apple Silicon transition would be completed within two years, at which point an Apple Silicon version of the entire Mac product line would be available in November 2022. However, that deadline has passed and a new Mac Pro is not yet available. Neither has a high-end Apple Silicon Mac mini.
Gurman said the M2 Pro Mac mini and M2 Ultra Mac Pro are in active testing and will be available in 2023. the M2 Pro and M2 Max 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will also be available earlier in the New Year. New Pro Display XDR and Studio Display monitor options are also in development.
