Intel's next generation GPU plans to boost to 64 Xe cores: twice as many as the A770

Intel has already launched the Arc series of graphics cards, and through the A770 and other graphics cards to achieve mainstream user coverage, but this coverage is, of course, limited, especially for enthusiast-level consumers with a more ample budget for Intel's Arc graphics cards are not particularly interested. The main reason is that the performance is still not strong enough and lacks competitiveness in the face of the two graphics giants, Nvidia and AMD. However, there is news that Intel's next-generation graphics card should be geared towards enthusiast-level graphics, with specifications far exceeding those of the current A770 graphics card.

According to the news, Intel's next-generation Arc graphics card will use TSMC's 4nm process and have a 64 Xe architecture, twice the size of the current A770, while the core size is about the same as NVIDIA's AD103, with a 48MB L2 cache capacity, in addition to a 256bit memory bit width. or GDDR6X memory.
If calculated according to the core area of about AD103, the performance of Intel's next-generation graphics card should be comparable to that of the GeForce RTX 4080, although there is still a certain distance from the RTX 4090 graphics card, but it can already far exceed the performance of the current A770 graphics card, which is a good choice for mid- to high-end consumers. After all, compared to established GPU giants like Nvidia, Intel should be more tempting in terms of pricing. Of course in addition to the hardware parameters of the graphics card itself needing to be strong, the soft power, including drivers, should also keep up. It is expected that Intel's new graphics card will be available to everyone in the second quarter of 2024.
