Recently the Creuziger family of Wisconsin, USA, agreed to sell 407 acres of land to Microsoft for a total of $76 million, where Microsoft will build a data center.

The land purchased by Microsoft is adjacent to the 641 acres previously purchased from the Mount Pleasant campus, which was valued at $99.7 million. Construction has already begun on the first phase of Microsoft's data center, a planned investment of more than $1 billion on 215 acres of land.
Microsoft reportedly planned to hire 200 employees at the Mount Pleasant data center upfront, which could increase to more than 460 employees over time. However, Hon Hai pledged in 2017 to provide 13,000 jobs in the area.
Microsoft is said to have purchased the land for a much higher amount than the current valuation. As part of the agreement with Hon Hai Group, the state of Wisconsin had previously initially wanted to provide the Creuziger family with some of the money to purchase the land, but was politely declined. Now the land has been successfully acquired by Microsoft.
