According to  media reports, with the increase in automotive intelligence and the development of electric vehicles, the demand for chips in automobiles is also increasing, and the requirements for chips are also improving, which also makes the prospects for automotive chips positive, and the performance of related manufacturers has also improved.
Arm, which is currently an important global chip design company that licenses architecture to many cell phone chip makers, is also a beneficiary of the increased demand for automotive chips, and they are rapidly expanding their automotive chip-related business.
Arm vice president of automotive product strategy Dennis Laudick revealed that the growth rate of their automotive business unit, has outpaced other business units such as smartphones and data centers.
For the rapid growth of the automotive business unit revenue, Dennis Laudick attributed it to the increase in the number of chips needed for high-end cars, which he viewed as a data center on wheels.
And with the development of autonomous driving and assisted driving, the demand for chips in cars will further increase, and some research institutions expect that the size of the automotive chip IP market will double in 2027, and the automotive chip business will become the key to Arm's future business.
