The upcoming AURIX of Infineon ™ TC4xx series microcontroller will be the first product to obtain the standard certification.
The newly issued Regulation No. 155 (UN R155) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) aims to solve the increasingly prominent network security problem of intelligent connected vehicles. This regulation comes into force in July 2022 and requires automobile manufacturers to adopt safe design methods in their products and processes. In order to sell new vehicles to the market covered by R155, automobile manufacturers must obtain valid CSMS compliance certification applicable to each model. In order to obtain this certification, automobile manufacturers must implement network security practices throughout the supply chain, so as to reduce the overall risk of attacks on vehicles in the full life cycle (from the initial concept to vehicle retirement).
In order to help customers meet the requirements of national and international network security regulations such as UN R155, Infineon Technology became one of the first semiconductor suppliers to obtain the new international standard certification of ISO/SAE 21434 automobile network security management system. The certification of this standard is in the charge of T | V Nord. In addition, Infineon will soon launch AURIX ™ TC4xx series microcontroller, with a new innovative network security architecture, is expected to pass the ISO/SAE 21434 standard certification.
Infineon's CSMS conforming to ISO/SAE 21434 standard is applicable to all kinds of Infineon products supporting automobile network security, including AURIX ™ Microcontroller and PSOC ™ Microcontroller, SEMPER ™ Secure flash memory, OPTIMA ™ Hardware security module, etc. The CSMS follows industry best practices and covers information technology, manufacturing technology, specific regions and regulatory environments.
Infineon's network threat monitoring system can actively analyze relevant network security vulnerability disclosure behavior, and conduct relevant assessment according to the product security incident response process in line with ISO/SAE 21434 standard, so as to reduce the potential threats faced by Infineon's security products and systems. With these monitoring systems and event response capabilities that meet the ISO/SAE 21434 standard, Infineon will work closely with customers to quickly identify and reduce product security risks and make them meet the requirements of the risk management plan and relevant regulations.
