LG Automotive Electronics and Battery Orders Expected to Exceed 500 Trillion Won in First Quarter of Next Year

According to media reports, an analyst said in a report this week that LG Group, whose business involves automotive electronics, panels, batteries and other businesses and has a complete supply chain of electric car parts, is an ideal partner for Apple's car project, and that cooperation between the two companies is possible.
And from the media reports, LG Group, which analysts believe is an ideal partner for Apple's car project, has indeed received a large number of orders for automotive electronics and batteries, which is expected to exceed 500 trillion won, or about $400 billion, in the first quarter of next year.
In the report, foreign media said that LG's orders for automotive electronics and batteries have reached 477 trillion won (about $400 billion) as of December 28.
Of the 477 trillion won in automotive electronics and battery orders LG has received, a large portion is LG New Energy's electric vehicle battery orders, which amounted to 370 trillion won (about $300 billion), accounting for more than 77.5%.
Of the remaining 107 trillion won (about $84.5 billion) in orders, LG Electronics' VS business unit received 84 trillion won (about $66.4 billion), LG Innotek received 13 trillion won (about $10 billion) and LG Display had 10 trillion won (about $7.9 billion).
LG currently has several companies involved in the automotive electronics and electric vehicle battery business, including LG Electronics for information systems, LG Innotek for cameras and communication modules, and LG New Energy for batteries, as well as companies involved in powertrains.
