Market research firm Omdia forecasts the global NAND flash memory market to be $58.513 billion next year, similar to the DRAM market ($59.582 billion). The NAND flash market is expected to reach US$84,378 million by 2025, surpassing the DRAM market for the first time (US$83,397 million).

Some forecasts suggest that the NAND flash market will approach the DRAM market next year (2023). However, DRAM prices have fallen more rapidly than the factors contributing to the growth of the NAND flash memory market.
Analysts believe that the NAND flash market will reach US$60.49 billion this year, a reduction of more than 30% compared to the DRAM market (US$81.714 billion). In particular, by 2025, the NAND flash memory market will reach US$84,378 million, surpassing the DRAM market (US$83,397 million) for the first time.
From the second half of this year, the memory semiconductor market entered a severe downturn. Despite this, NAND pricing levels have been somewhat maintained compared to DRAM. As a result, Omdia forecasts that the DRAM market will be more than 30% smaller next year than this year, while the NAND market will remain at the same size next year as it was this year. They believe that the sharp increase in growth momentum in the NAND flash memory market compared to DRAM is also one of the reasons for the positive outlook for the NAND market. The use of NAND is expanding not only in data centres and artificial intelligence (AI), but also in automobiles. The amount and specification of memory that has recently entered the car is increasing.
