TSMC, currently the world's largest foundry, which has raised its foundry prices several times in the last two years, will again raise its foundry prices for most of its processes next year.

According to industry sources, TSMC is reported to be raising foundry prices for most of its processes next year, and they have decided to do so by 6%, which will come into effect in January next year.
The media reports also mention that TSMC has decided to increase foundry prices for most of its processes next year, despite the current growing potential concerns about possible disappointing performance in the second half of the year in several end markets.
If TSMC raises foundry prices for most of its processes in January next year, as has been reported by the industry chain, it would mean a major price increase for them for the second year in a row. Earlier this year, it was reported that TSMC had raised foundry prices across the board, by 8-10% for 16nm and below advanced processes, and by about 15% for 28nm and other mature processes.
However, in the report, it was not mentioned whether TSMC's price increase in January next year would include the 3nm process and the 7nm and 5nm processes that currently account for nearly half of its revenue in the second half of this year.
It is worth noting that it was reported in May that TSMC had informed its customers of the price increase next year, but at the time it was an across-the-board price increase, not the majority of the processes mentioned in the update.
