US-India Semiconductor Association signs agreement to promote chip cooperation

       On April 13, the US Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) and the Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation in the semiconductor field between the two countries, which was interpreted as promoting India to become a chip manufacturer's Vision.
         According to reports, IESA is India's leading trade body dedicated to supporting electronics and semiconductor design and manufacturing in India. Under the MoU, the two associations will jointly host member company meetings to promote cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
         SIA CEO John Neuffer said in a statement: "We are delighted to sign this MoU with IESA, welcoming India's goal of becoming a hub for electronics and semiconductor innovation in a stronger digital economy and wider global value chain. "
