December 7, 2022 - Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC), a leading provider of low-power programmable devices, recently announced the new Lattice AvantFPGA platform, designed to extend its industry-leading low-power architecture, small form factor and high performance benefits into the mid-range FPGA space. Offering class-leading low power consumption, advanced interconnect and optimized computing, Lattice Avant helps Lattice meet the needs of more customer applications in the communications, computing, industrial and automotive markets.

With the Lattice Avant platform, we will strengthen our leadership position in the low-power FPGA industry and help us continue to innovate rapidly, doubling the potential market for our products," said Jim Anderson, president and CEO of Lattice Semiconductor. We developed Avant to meet our customers' needs for a premium mid-range FPGA solution, and we are excited to help them accelerate their designs with lower power consumption and greater performance."
Patrick Moorhead, president and founder of Moor Insights & Strategy, said, "Billions of interconnected sensors, devices and systems powered by artificial intelligence algorithms are generating massive amounts of data every day, accelerating the need for intelligence at the network edge. This trend requires developers and OEMs to look for more flexible and adaptable solutions. The introduction of Lattice Avant caters to this trend with its high-performance data processing capabilities, meeting the rapidly growing market demand for innovation, efficiency and flexibility.
Lattice Avant helps system and application development engineers address a variety of key industry challenges, including technology interconnectivity and machine intelligence, the accelerating need for innovation, and the growing need for efficiency and flexibility in system and application design. Combining a power-optimized programmable architecture, leading aggregated bandwidth, adaptive hardware acceleration and extended application support, Lattice Avant's new design is expected to further strengthen Lattice's leadership position in low-power FPGAs.
We are excited to continue Lattice's legacy of innovation in low-power FPGAs and introduce breakthrough architectural optimizations, features and functionality on Lattice Avant to meet customer needs in a wider range of applications," said Steve Douglass, senior vice president of research and development at Lattice Semiconductor. As with the Nexus platform, we have a clear product roadmap based on the Avant platform. To make designing with Lattice Avant FPGAs as easy as possible, our powerful collection of software tools and application-specific solutions will also fully support Avant devices.
