Silicon Labs, a leader in building a more connected world with secure, smart wireless technology, and Yeelight, a leader in smart lighting, today announced that Yeelight has adopted Silicon Labs' MG24 2.4GHz wireless system-on-chip (SoC) to support the Matter 1.0 technology standard to drive interoperability of smart home products across the ecosystem and deliver a highly reliable, more secure and low-power wireless networking experience. The Yeelight Pro P20 human sensor will be on display at the Yeelight booth #50326 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, USA.
The Yeelight Pro P20 Human Presence Sensor is a precision sensor designed for the global market that implements a dual-mode active-passive detection mode for sensing functions, infrared to judge the human body and radar to detect micro-motion, and uses multiple algorithms for accurate determination. the P20 sensor is battery powered and can last for more than 3 years in battery mode. Its magnetic base makes for easy installation. In order to meet the requirements of accessing more smart home ecosystems, Yeelight eLight decided to adopt the latest IoT connectivity standard, Matter, to create a range of smart home products that can work across existing ecosystems and multiple protocols to create a unified smart home experience.

After thorough evaluation and testing, Yeelight selected Silicon Labs' MG24 2.4GHz wireless SoC, introduced earlier in 2022, to perform the IoT connectivity and mastering functions. Yeelight believes that the MG24 wireless SoC will enable the full benefits of the Pro P20 sensor and support the Matter IoT standard while enabling smarter and safer smart home system devices, while maintaining low power consumption or longer battery life. Based on the technical features of both companies and the networking benefits of Matter, Yeelight's Matter-enabled smart home products will appeal to a wider range of customers with their high level of ease of use and broad applicability.
We are very pleased to see that Yeelight was able to quickly launch its Matter 1.0-enabled human-in-sensor products with the MG24 wireless SoC in such a short period of time following the release of the Matter 1.0 standard," said Dhiraj Sogani, senior director of wireless product marketing at Silicon Labs. products. As the largest contributor of Matter program code in the semiconductor space, Silicon Labs will further strengthen its collaboration with eco-partners to introduce more Matter-enabled and Matter-compliant products to help our customers break down connectivity barriers and achieve interconnectivity. We will support our customers in developing innovative devices in more IoT edge areas, including the smart home."
The MG24 is a Matter-compliant, ultra-low-power wireless SoC that supports Matter, Zigbee, OpenThread, Bluetooth Low Energy, Bluetooth Mesh, proprietary protocols and multi-protocol operation. The MG24 has a built-in artificial intelligence/machine learning ( The Yeelight Pro P20 human-in-the-loop sensor enables interconnection between IoT products from different brands and ecosystems, providing end consumers with convenient connectivity and a simple experience.
We are proud to introduce the Yeelight Pro P20 human sensor with the support of Silicon Labs, the experts in IoT," said W ilson Wei, Yeelight's CTO and head of R&D. Yeelight, as an active participant in the Matter community, is proud to introduce the Yeelight Pro P20 human sensor by using The support provided by Silicon Labs helped Yeelight minimize the work and investment in RF, protocols and certification, allowing us to focus on developing the Yeelight Pro P20 people in sensors such as high-performance, low-power products. Matter-compliant products can offer global users choice and ease of application across ecosystems."
As an emerging standard in the smart home space, the release of Matter 1.0 will address the fragmentation of communication standards in the smart home market, making the market full of possibilities. Matter-compliant, high-performance system devices for smart home ecosystem operators and end customers. These devices will further unlock the potential of the IoT while benefiting from the ultra-low power consumption of the MG24, with the P20 people in sensors that can be used in battery mode for more than three years and can also support line powered mode
